The training related to agriculture is meant for maintaining the interest and motivation of young generation in agriculture activities as the same is reducing day by day due to influence of modern world which seems very attractive according to them. The details of proposed programmes are given below:

5.1 Providing Vocational Training: During the project period, training in various trades based on agro and non agro based will be given to the drop- outs youth.

The rationales for selecting the following trades are

  • Firstly we have selected the trades considering gender. We have two trades for girls- cutting, tailoring and beautician courses and three trades for boys– para veterinary, two wheeler mechanic, electrician and one trade of vermin compost for both sexes.
  • These trades were identified based on the experiences of implementing organization. We have trained 287 girls and 75 women on cutting and sewing clothes and 73 trained girls have started their business based on the same. Further three of our tailoring centers are managed by the federation formed by us.
  • These trades were identified based on the market survey and existing scenario. Project area is agro based where main resource of livelihood is agriculture and husbandry. There is no skilled veterinary hospital & doctors and govt. hospitals also. There is demand of readymade garments than tailoring clothes, beauty awareness due to developments and media. There is increased plying of two wheelers in roads, 75% houses have electricity & cell phone and increased usage of chemical fertilizers impacting negatively as well as hike in prices of these fertilizers.
